HondaTV goes live on BTVision
Situation
Our client, an agency representing Honda, was looking for a way to increase the visibility of an existing
video rich website by transitioning it across to the new BT Vision platform.
Solution
Codevio recreated the existing website in a format that was suitable for the web browser
on the BT Vision set top box. By maintaining the existing look and feel, a common brand
image was retained across the 2 sites, despite each being aimed at different platforms.
Existing video content was transcoded to match the requirements set down by BT Vision,
while maintaining the high quality expected by Honda.
Codevio also assisted in setting up a mirror site to ensure that changes to the site
could be checked by Honda before going live on the BT Vision platform.
The Honda TV channel became the first streamed channel available on the BT Vision
platform, and generated a lot of high profile coverage, including an article in
New
Media Age.
The Honda TV channel is now live, and can be accessed through the BT Vision EPG.
